File extension m2ts information
The file extension M2TS is a file extension that identifies Sony Blu-ray video stream files. Sony camcorders can also generate these file types. This file contains a BDAV MPEG-2 transport stream also that are used by Blu-Ray discs. The streams are given their own names in the form of #####.M2TS which is a five digit number that is followed alternatively by .M2TS. The files that have the same number are related. BDAV denotes either the plain format that is intended mainly for home video that has no interactivity or the transport stream format that is used by all contents of Blu-ray.
